FIELD STUDY 10/23/2022

9/25
Last weekend I was able to visit my field study location. This was the most change I have seen in between visits. However, this also may be because I visited at night last time and was unable to see leaf colors. However, from my last day visit(9/25) the leaves have changed quite a lot. Here is a comparison between 9/25 and 10/23.

10/23

As you can see, there has been a lot of leaves falling, and on earlier visits the primary color of the site has been green, on my most recent visit I would describe it as yellow.

When I went, it was very nice outside, 77 degrees and sunny. There was some consistent wind and gusts, as you will be able to see on my sound map below. The day length was 10 hours and 41 minutes, and when I went there the sun was approximately 2/3s across the sky. An important factor about next visit is it will be post-daylight savings time, meaning that information about the sun will have changed significantly.

When I was there, I also recorded a sound map, showing what sounds I found where.

I also sketched the plant I have been photographing every visit.
