FIELD OBSERVATIONS 9/5/22

 Today I introduced myself to my site. It was very interesting seeing what was there and the environment. 

There was a pond on the site that had many algae in it, and I did see frogs leaping around it. The grass was very overgrown with lots of nice wildflowers. 

Surrounding the Pond, there were some trees, so presumably there were birds in the area, however, I did not notice any.

This is the map of the area that I am studying. Things to note are: 
 - The pond is a little smaller due to low water levels
 - The forest has been cleared a little due to human influence

Here are some pictures and what I did from my visit there.
 I will be taking a picture of this flower every visit to show how the environment has changed.

FIELD STUDY 10/12/2022

     On Wednesday, October 12, I got to visit my field location at night. Though it was hard to see some parts of it, it was very interesting to see what it looked like when it was dark out. I apologize because though I used flash to take the pictures, they still are pretty dark.           When I went to the site it was around 9:00 PM. It was approximately 49 degrees Fahrenheit, with little to no wind. It had rained quite a lot earlier that day, so the ground was very moist, especially near the pond.       Pond     Some interesting changes had happened since my last visit, which was on September 25. For one, as seen in the picture above, lots of leaves have fallen since my last visit, and there is an overall decrease in the greenery there. THE EPIC FIELD STUDY FINALE

 On November 22, I journeyed to the field study site for the final time. When I walked in, I remembered what it was like when it was 70º and sunny.     At least on Nov. 22 it wasn't that bad. A lot of snow had come during the weekend, but, it warmed up enough that the snow began melting. I went there around 1:45 PM, and during my visit, the temperature peaked for the day, at 45 degrees. It stayed above freezing for most of the afternoon, and there was not an ounce of precipitation that day. The wind was 0 MPH, with the occasional gust of 11 MPH. The day length was 9 hours and 28 minutes, so we can see the days are getting shorter since September.     There was snow on the ground, but it was rapidly melting. When I went, the ground was mostly white with snow but there were signs showing melting. For example, the pond was very much iced over, but there was a sheet of water on the top, showing that it is melting. Here are some pictures of the final study:
